Femme d’Certain Age

femme certain age

This title taken from a blog of the same name is our attempt to deal with the issues we have as we age, hopefully gracefully. More than 50% of transgender women are over the age of 50 and as crossdressers we have  unique challenges, do we want to blend in or do we want to stand out, all within the context of that ill-defined standard of what is “age appropriate” Just as with genetic women, our issues change from  those earlier years in our 20s, 30, and 40s to our 50s and 60s and beyond. This section talks to those issues. It is a broad brush approach that deals with our feelings about aging, the how to’s of presenting as a  mature woman to  the health  and welfare issues of being an older woman.
